Our Little Pacifier Baby!!!

I think I have written before about how Ethan is our first pacifier baby! We declined giving one to the girls (even though I am sure Emily would have LOVED one), but a wonderful nurse told us while we were in the hospital when Ethan was born that there was no harm in pacifiers and since Ethan seemed to LOVE it, we gave in and he has been our little pacifier baby ever since:)

Well, My Dad (being the Steelers Fan that he is) was SO Excited when he found Steelers pacifiers that he bought a pack of 2 for Ethan!! And we have been slowly introducing them to him for a couple of weeks now, but he is finally starting to like them now....I think simply because it is a different brand of pacifier than he is used to! But the other day we decided to snap a few pictures for "the books" and for Pop, so that we can all see this little man supporting his Pop's Favorite Football team:)

Haley's First REAL Haircut!

So, Sunday evening I decided to take the plunge and give Haley her first REAL Haircut!! I will have to admit, I was pretty nervous about it at first, nervous to cut it and even more nervous to how she would react while I was cutting it! With Emily we gave her a brownie during her first haircut to keep her occupied and looking down so that I could get the job done quickly. But with Haley, Micah had the idea to let her brush her teeth, since she likes to do that a lot:) And it was a Great idea at first, but it quickly faded and it was really hard to get her to keep her head still, but when it came time to look down, surprisingly, she was REALLY good at that:)

Overall, it went well and I think Haley actually really enjoyed the whole experience, Micah did a great job taking pictures and I am proud of myself for giving her a cute little do:) Emily and Ethan were great bystanders as well!! So, we can definitely describe Haley's first haircut as a family affair, even though we didn't snap any pictures of Emily or Ethan:)

Monday was a GORGEOUS day here in Charlottesville!! A little hot, a little sunny, but absolutely GORGEOUS!! We went to visit Mema in the morning and when we got home I thought it was time to play outside and the girls agreed! So, we set up a little play area for them on the front side walk and when the sun got too bright and hot what did we do???? Go inside??? NO! We brought out the big umbrella and kept playing!! Kept playing until everyone had a melt down simultaneously and it was time for naps:)

But until then it was a good, hot, happy and shaded good time in the sun!! And we are DEFINITELY looking forward to more days ahead just like this one throughout this spring and summer!! So, bring on the sunshine!!!!

Ethan's FIRST Trip to NOVA!

We FINALLY decided it was time to make a trip up to NOVA!! It was our first time going in 2012 and also our first time going with THREE KIDDOS IN TOW! I will admit, it took a little while for me to get the courage up to make the trip:) But, I am so glad that we did! We had so much fun! We got to see a lot of family and some great family friends too!! And, of course, like most things in life we were met with challenge as well......our van got a flat tire on Fairfax County Parkway:( But the silver lining there was that it happened while all 3 kiddos were napping and they napped through the whole hour and a half long experience! They woke up just as we were about to pull back out on the Parkway:)

We were so happy to get to meet our newest niece and the kids newest cousin, Aveline, and to introduce Ethan to so many people too!! It was a super fun, super tiring, super happy, super LONG day!! Because we started out at 8:20am Saturday morning from our house and we pulled back up in front of our house at 10:30pm that night!! We were TIRED, but it was So Worth it:)

Out Little Buddy Is TWO MONTHS OLD!!

Now I think Ethan has a new nick name. Little Buddy. It must be something that I have called him frequently, but not realizing it and then a few days back when he was fussing Haley ran over to him and gave him his pacifier and said, "It's alright Little Buddy, here you go!". It was the sweetest thing ever, and now we all affectionately call him "little buddy"!

It has only been 2 months and boy do we all LOVE this little guy! He is so happy, fun and charming! If he is not sleeping, eating or being a little fussy he is always making one of us smile or laugh!! Micah and I joke all the time and say how he is going to be a little heart breaker one day! One day until the right girl comes along, that is:)

Over this past month Ethan has been just growing like a little weed! Here are some of the things that he likes best at 2 Months Old:

~LOVES to SLEEP!!

~ Eat, He will drink any and all that we give to him! He has been GREAT at taking a bottle and formula for that matter, although "Mommy's Milk" is still his food source or choice right now:)

~ He transitioned well to his crib in his room! He sleeps great in there once he falls asleep! He has been challenged with a bit of reflux lately! So we are working through that with him. We give him Baby Gas Drops and they seem to work Miracles! He usually only fusses with gasiness at night though before going down for the count!

~ He has begun smiling A LOT more which is fun! He has the cutest little grin and the best little dimple!

~And he is a pro at lifting his head and he doesn't seem to mind tummy time all that much either!! Which is especially awesome since he didn't lose his umbilical cord until he was 5 weeks and one day old!! AMAZING!!! That was a record for our kiddos as well!

I think that pretty much sums up Ethan's second month of life! He loves us and we love him A LOT!!!! Can't wait to see what adventures Month Number Three Brings Little Buddy!!
