RESTING, TIRED and HAPPY!

Our kiddos have always been good sleepers, for the most part! They usually enjoy naps and love getting into their beds at night!! Lately at our house we have had to move our nap time spots around yet again, so that everyone can get the rest that their little bodies crave!! As of about 2 weeks ago, the nap spots are Ethan in his crib in the play room, Haley in her room and Emily gets to come downstairs with me and either do yoga with me or read books and nap on the couch. She can do whatever, except get up and play around!! And it has been working out exceptionally well so far! On Thursday she was having a hard time relaxing so after having reminded her sternly several times she finally zonked out! The funny thing though was that, by that point I was done with my yoga video and had moved to the kitchen to fix dinner for a friend and for us. I noticed she was in this really uncomfortable position for several minutes and from my point of view it looked like she was just upset with me and looking at me out of a little corner of her arm. But when I went over to check on her she was PASSED OUT!! She slept like that for about 45 minutes!! I was surprised!!

And that very next night Ethan had a pretty restless night sleep, we think it was probably because he has been teething and one of his bottom teeth are really trying to break through. But whatever the case, he didn't sleep too well and neither did we! But when he got up yesterday morning he had his first case of "Bed Head". He was so cute with his hair all over the place and so happy too, that I had to grab the camera and snap a few pictures of this next FIRST in his life!! Welcome to the club of morning crazy hair, Little Buddy!!

No matter if he is tired or not, he still LOVES his toes!!

A Fun Day for The Kiddos!

The girls are always asking me (mostly its Emily, but Haley still does from time to time to) at the end of each day what we are going to do tomorrow. And she is not just looking for one thing, she is looking for a plan of the whole day:) A girl after her Mommy's heart for sure:) So, imagine her excitement when she asked me on Monday night, "Mommy, what are we going to do next day?" and I told her that we were going to Aunt Jessie's in the morning to play with some of her cousins and then in the evening Mommy and Daddy and Ethan were going on a date and Tede was coming over and bringing Lauren (a friend that they ABSOLUTELY ADORE) to play!! They were so excited, I was surprised they were able to fall asleep!
We got up the next morning and it was not too hard to get them dressed and out the door so that we could head to Jessie's and then that evening they couldn't get Micah, Ethan and I out the door fast enough when Tede and Lauren showed up! They were ready to have some good old play time, without Mommy and Daddy hanging around! I am glad that our kiddos can get excited about the simple things in life and I am also grateful that they have each other and don't get scared or nervous when we go away on a date from time to time! We definitely don't have a regular baby sitter nor do we leave them with just anybody, but we are glad that the people that we love and trust are people that they love and trust too!

Our Little Entertainer!

This past Friday night Mimmi and Dooders had all of their Grandchildren over for a sleep over (the only requirement was that each grandchild that came must be able to walk and talk!)! Our girls made the cut; however, Ethan didn't quite make it this year!! Which was still fun for us, because we got to spend quite a bit of quality one of one time with this little guy, that he doesn't always get!! So, we all won!!
For the most part Ethan was full of smiles and laughs and just a joy to have as a side kick:) The only time he was upset was when he was hungry, tired or someone left him in another room while we were putting clothes away (which happened quite a few times, since one of my goals was to switch Emily's 3T clothes out and her 4T clothes in!
Another perk of having just E Buddy was that I was able to take quite a few more pictures than I usually get to take with all 3 of them in tow! He was being ADORABLE in front of the camera too! Another thing we found out about our little Ethan was that apparently he LOVES spinach!!! It was really cute to watch him devour it!!! He is quite the little entertainer as well!

After his first couple of bites of Spinach!

Happy as Can Be!

I Love that when he gets happy his hands and feet start moving really fast in small circles!

E Buddy has Turned SEVEN Months!!!!

I really don't know where time is going, but it sure is moving quickly!! I really can't believe that our handsome little buddy is already SEVEN MONTHS OLD!! We all love him so much! He is such a happy baby too!! He is so easy going and loves attention from anyone and everyone who are willing to give it!! He is still a HUGE MOMMY'S BOY, and I LOVE it!! I love it when he wraps his arms around me and just holds on! I love his adorable smiles and his wet kisses too!! He really loves having two big sisters too!! They love on him so much, sometimes too much, but he really does tolerate it well!

Over this past month Ethan has had a few BIG milestones, so here is a re-cap:
~  BIGGEST MILESTONE: Ethan cut his first tooth (Top Front Left) on July 20th and since then has cut 4 MORE!! That is FIVE TEETH in ONE Month!! And Ethan has been a real trooper!!
~ With his teeth in and learning to work, he also ate Cheerios for the very first time this month!!
~ Ethan has also been able to sit unassisted for longer periods of time.
~And now, not only is Ethan reaching for EVERYTHING in sight, when there is nothing in sight he searches for things to reach for!!!
~Ethan has also started to make lots of cute baby sounds, it is so fun to watch him entertain himself and everyone around him with those cute little (and sometimes loud) noises!!

We sure love our little guy!! And are happy to be able to watch him grown and learn!! Happy 7 Months Little Buddy, we love you so much!!!

A Picnic and NOVA!!

Our weekend started off EARLY, when we picked up Micah at 3:40pm to head up to Greene County for his annual Company Picnic! It was our 2nd year at this park and we LOVED it even more this year than last!! The weather was actually perfect! We were expecting rain and storms all day, but luckily it was just overcast and a bit warm by the time the picnic rolled around! All 3 kiddos had a BLAST on the playground and they also got to enjoy a magic show (the girls seriously could have stayed by Mr. Magic's side FOREVER), ate some yummy BBQ, got faces and hands painted, enjoyed snow cones, jumped in a moon bounce! Seriously the fun almost never stopped! The picnic was from 4-7pm and we really didn't believe we would hang in there the whole time, but we didn't end up getting everyone to the van until 7:10!! It was that much fun!! And double bonus, we remembered the camera and got some great pictures too!!
Then we got home, got everyone bathed and in bed, got up the next morning early and headed to NOVA for the day! WE got to visit with Mummis and Rachel for a bit (and wished Mummis a happy belated birthday), then we headed over to Nathan and Sarah's to visit and drop the kiddos off with them so that Micah and I could attend the temple! It was a really great weekend! Fun, Family, a Spiritual Boost, along with pictures and good food!! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!!
