18 Months Old and More Beautiful with Each Passing Day!

Our Little Sweet "P" turned 18 months old this past Wednesday, June 29th!! It is so hard to believe how quickly time is flying! All day on Wednesday I kept reflecting back on that day 18 months earlier when we met her for the very first time, and all of our firsts together on that day and since then. There have been many....first cry, first diaper change, first nursing experience, first laugh, first baby food experience, first smile, first roll over, first steps, first birthday, welcoming her first sister into the world, first word, first time she used her potty, first bath in the tub, first swim in a bucket.....the list could go on forever! And this coming Sunday, July 4, 2010, Emily will experience yet another first.....her FIRST OFFICIAL SUNDAY IN NURSERY! I seriously can't believe that I have a child old enough to go to nursery already!

Emily is such a beam of sunshine in our little family! She makes the cutest expressions and does the funniest things! She is also a bit feisty at times too, but that gives her, and us, character! She LOVES LOVES LOVES being a big sister, and is already expressing so many nurturing qualities!

Over the last six months she has acquired a few new skills:
~ she started to walk at 13 months (One month and One day before Haley joined our family!)
~she has learned to follow directions very well
~she knows where almost all of her body parts are and can point to them
~she has learned a few more words(mommy, daddy, baby, bop, thank you, please, amen and of course her favorite....uh oh!)

On Wednesday I wanted to make her half birthday a little more special than "just any other day" so, after the girls woke up we went to the store and bought a few items to make cupcakes! Then we came home, put Haley in her bumbo seat to watch, while Emily and I made cupcakes together! Then later we delivered them to Micah's work and Emily got to go with daddy to say hi to some of his co-workers! Then Emily, Micah and I had cupcakes for dessert together that evening! It was a great day and I am so glad that I got to celebrate my little girl's half birthday with her this year! She is amazing and teaches us so much each and every day! Happy 18 Months Sweetest "P"!

Days 22 and 23 of Construction....they are ROLLING now!

We haven't been able to go inside our house to look around at all of the handy work since last Tuesday and it seems like FOREVER since we have seen the work that is being done! Finally, after church yesterday we got to stop by and check out the progress and we were excited to see that our construction crews have definitely been busy and hard at work!!
We noticed that the electricians and plumbers have been hard at work, as well as those who are working on our porches putting our shingles on the roof! We are amazed and excited at all of the progress that is being made! We are meeting with the Audio Visual company today to decide the whereabouts of the internet and tv hookups and in not too long, we should be able to schedule our pre-dry wall walk through!!
But for now, here are a few pictures that we took yesterday of the progress!!

Here I am at the back side of our home, behind me you can see all the sand that they have been using to make the concrete!!

Day 21 of Construction --- We Have Stairs, Brick and Windows!!!

All I can say is that the construction team that is working on our house is DEFINITELY making up for lost time now! When we went yesterday (after the CRAZY Tornado like weather) we saw that they had installed the stairs to go from our main level to the upper floor, and another team of workers had laid most of the brick around our basement level and yet another crew had installed all of our windows except for one in our half bathroom on the main level! We were in awe and of course TOTALLY excited!! Our Dream Home is becoming a reality day by day!

Granddaddy Day Care!

This Wednesday the girls and I got to go into Mommers and Dooders house to visit with Eliza and we had a special treat, because this week one of their newest cousins, Gracie Kaye, was there to play too! Gracie was born about 8 weeks before Haley. I am so glad we had the chance to play and get to know Gracie a little better. Due to schedules, sicknesses, and the fact that we live about an hour apart, we haven't gotten to see much of Gracie since she has been born!

However, on Wednesday Emily, Haley and Eliza all got to play with Gracie A LOT! Gracie even came equipped with her excersaucer which Emily and Eliza thought was Great! Gracie ate when everyone else ate, pooped when everyone else pooped and even though she only took an afternoon nap of about 30 minutes, I think she got more than anyone else that day!

Haley and Gracie had fun sharing some "baby talk" in their bumbo seats, and some time on the rug together!! It was too precious! I feel like I say this all the time, but I am so grateful that our girls are not too far away from any of their cousins! I know the memories that they are creating and will continue to create together will last a life time, I know they will for me!

Gracie got tired of her Bumbo Seat, So Emily came over to try it out!

Emily had seen Eliza getting a piggy back and she wanted to try it out too! But, as you can see, she is not yet a fan of piggy back rides!

Emily made her way around to try out all the "baby toys" and this one was by far her FAVORITE!

Father's Day 2010!

First of all I just want to start out and say that I have no idea why everything that I am writing is being underlined but nonetheless.....

I just wanted to take a minute and share a few memories from our Father's Day this year! I am such a lucky girl that I was able to find and marry my best friend in the entire world and not only that, but to get to have him by my side from now throughout eternity is a blessing that I cannot fully comprehend at this moment in time! But regardless of comprehension I know that through the Priesthood Power from our Heavenly Father that blessing is mine as long as I stay worthy of it!

Micah is such an amazing husband and an even more amazing father! He LOVES Fatherhood and his little princesses that give him the opportunity to be their Daddy! He works hard at his job all day and then when he comes home and I am stressed from the days events he jumps right in to help out with the girls (or whatever else I may need) and allows me a few minutes of quiet time so that I can finish fixing dinner or just put my feet up for a minute or two! He is so patient and gentle and kind. And Emily, Haley and I are fortunate to have him!!! You are Amazing, Micah Cordon, and I am Excited to spend our Eternity Together. I love you (and not just a Teensy!!).

Here are a few pictures that we took outside at Mommers and Dooders on Father's Day afternoon

But First, Here is Micah and Emily last year as they celebrated their FIRST Father's Day Together!
Here's the Trio this year celebrating Father's Day Together.....Fatherhood looks good on you Micah Cordon!!
Here a Quick Shot of Dooders with our Two Girls!! Everyone was ready to be DONE taking pictures at this point!!

Gotta Grab a Family Shot on Father's Day Ya Know!!

Even if Everyone isn't ready!!

Day 20 ~ Our Upper Porch is Framed !!!

One of the most exciting features of our new home, for us, was that we chose to get double porches! Our Lower Porch we will be able to access through our living room, but our upper porch we will be able to access through a door from our bedroom!!! We are excited to spend many summer evenings watching fireflies, and many cool crisp fall evenings watching the colorful leaves blow and fall and in the winter to spend a chilly afternoon with a cup of hot chocolate and some blankets and our girls. We are excited to spend many years of four seasons admiring our Heavenly Father's Creations from these porches and to help our children discover the beauties of the world around them!
But for now, our double front porches are framed, waiting to have memories made on them and we are happy!

A Side View showcasing ours and our neighbors home...they close on their home tomorrow! We got to walk through it for the last time last night, until we are invited over after our neighbors have made this house their home!
