A Baker, A Care Taker, And A First Time Bumbo Seat Shaker!

     Last week we didn't take ANY pictures the whole week, which was a shock to both me and Micah:) But this week has already been fun and productive!! And even amidst all of the fun productive chaos that is our life these days I was able to snap a few photos too! The girls have been really GREAT helpers this week, which has been super helpful for me seeing that it is only Wednesday and it seems that we have already done A LOT of both so far:) But Haley has really gotten in to helping me in the kitchen and I really love having her beside me!! She is such a great helper (and an AMAZING taste tester too!:)

And while Haley has been keeping busy in the kitchen, Emily has been keeping busy entertaining our Little Buddy!! Right now Ethan is at that frustrating stage for babies (and sometimes for Mommy and Daddy too) where he doesn't want to lay down, but he can't sit up on his own yet, and he has some control over his head, but not quite enough to sit alone in a bumbo seat or an excersaucer yet:( And Emily has been GREAT at being the entertainer and getting Ethan to smile and laugh this week! It has been great to witness!! And right now all three of my adorable little ones are asleep and before I headed to the couch for a little relaxation of my own I wanted to post these pictures of some of our fun moments of this week.....so far:)

Family Home Evening with the Missionaries this week!! Daddy is armed with his Helmet of Truth, Sword of the Word of God (Gospel) and Shield of Faith!! Love it!!

This morning we put Ethan in his Bumbo Seat for the first time, and since he can't sit up all by himself yet we backed him up against the couch!! And with the help of his sisters, he LOVED it!!

Our Handsome BOY is THREE MONTHS OLD!!

I am SOOO in Love with our little Ethan Micah~But that is no surprise we all are! He is such a fun little baby boy! And he is growing so fast! He has a smile that can light up any room and he is getting so chubby and ticklish, I absolutely LOVE that about him:) And he is truly a "Momma's Boy!!". I get the biggest smiles, laughs and grins from him and it just makes my heart feel like it could burst open every time:) He is growing SO FAST!! He doesn't go back to the doctor for another month or so, but at 10 weeks he weighed 13 POUNDS 2 OUNCES!! That is a full FIVE Pounds more than when he was born!! Anyway, I just can't say enough fun stuff about this little guy, but here are a few things that he has learned in his 3rd Month of Life:

~ He can lift up his head really well now

~ He still hasn't managed to roll over yet, but he is trying:)

~He sleeps well at night, usually only wakes up once to eat:)

~He smiles A LOT

~He has recently, in the last week or so, started "talking and cooing a TON"! It is cute to hear him trying out his little voice

~He has also pretty much stopped using a pacifier all on his own!! Although, it makes it a little bit harder for him to fall asleep we are still really happy that he is weaning himself from it:)

I think that about sums up Ethan's 3rd month~ We are excited to see what this next month brings as we watch him grow and develop and as more of his sweet personality comes out! We love you "Little Buddy!"

Easter Weekend with The Grays!!

As with Holidays everyone has traditions that they have for different occasions, and one of our traditions is one that Micah and I started just after Emily was born. We decided that on Easter Weekend the Easter Bunny would come to our house on Friday night! That way it allows our kids to have fun and enjoy their Easter basket treats on Saturday and then when Sunday comes we can focus more on the true reason we celebrate Easter, the Resurrection of our Savior Jesus Christ.

Having said that, our kiddos (mainly just Emily and Haley this year) woke up and came down the stairs to find that their Easter Baskets had been filled with Easter Goodies!! They were so happy and excited they played nicely, well almost nicely, for over an hour! They also got some great DVDs that are like slide shows and tell stories and rhymes which they also watched over and over again and loved!!

Around noon on Saturday we all loaded up and headed out to Mimmi and Dooders' house for our Annual Easter Gathering! As always, we got to visit, talk and play with TONS of family!! It was a gorgeous day and everyone had a Great Time!! We all got to eat lunch together in the back yard and the kiddos got to play on the swing set and enjoy a little moon bounce that Mimmi and Dooders recently got!! It was a lot of fun! After lunch Mimmi and Dooders had organized THREE Easter Egg Hunts this year! The first one was for the 1-6 year olds, the second for the 7-14 year olds and the third for all who were 14 and up! And since that would have been A LOT of eggs for them to gather and stuff we all pitched in and each smaller family was responsible to bring 12 stuffed eggs for the hunting!! There were a lot of happy little kiddos and a good helping of competition for the 2 older sets:)

This year my 32nd Birthday actual fell on Easter! I really didn't want a party or celebration or anything....I didn't want to make a big deal of it or anything, simply because when you share the same day with a holiday like Easter, remembered and being grateful for the Ressurrection for our Savior, Jesus Christ, everything else is really just trivial. But today, Mema actually made me a coconut cake and it was really yummy! And of course, they put candles on it. And that was the extent of my birthday! Although I must say that it seems like I have been having a birthday all week, which has been nice! That is the way I like to celebrate, I think I will start a new tradition in our family and have BIRTHDAY weeks for people:) Good Times!! Micah is amazing and he has made this birthday week so special and nice for me! Filled with gifts, and time away almost every evening with out the kiddos:) And the fun continues!!
