Our Tomato & Pepper Plants are Growing!

We haven't done a post in a while, so we wanted to "touch base" and let everyone know that we are still alive and well! We also wanted to update you on our little vegetable garden. Remember the pictures of our new garden back in April? Well we wanted to share a few "Then and Now" shots to show everyone how we are being blessed in our gardening efforts this year. We are grateful for all of the rain we have been receiving and know that our plants REALLY appreciate it!
And another really cool thing that we noticed one night as we were out watering our plants was that apparently some tomato seedlings from our plants last year dropped and found a nice home in the soil, because we noticed at least 3 extra tomato plants that have recently started sprouting and one in particular had a "sketchy" root system, but with a few days of Tender Loving Care it is perky and looks excited about the upcoming summer! Enjoy the pictures! And Happy Gardening to all of our Fellow Gardeners this Summer!

Today, About a Month and a Half Later
We have Baby Tomatoes!! How exciting!
We could hardly believe it the other day when we came outside and saw our first Pepper!!!

Way to go!!! How exciting, Holly. I wish I were a fellow planter, but since we're still renting apartments...hmmmm...one day I'll be able to join you on your gardening adventures. It looks like so much fun!

Exciting! It's amazing how quickly those plants sprout up. I'm looking forward to doing a little gardening myself when we get settled in Utah. I'm glad you planted Basil. It is my favorite herb and is so yummy when it's fresh. Looks like you guys will be eating well this summer!

Wow! Your plants look amazing. I am so excited for you. Gardening is something I really want to learn more about, maybe next year you can teach me since you'll be experts.

Lookin good! It's good to have your own tomatoes nowadays;) We have some baby tomatoes in our pot and so far the kids have left them alone although Luke likes to steal leaves from the basil. He actually loves sliced tomatoes with the basil on it.
