Our Little 8 MONTH OLD Princess

Emily turned the big 8 MONTHS OLD yesterday while we were visiting family in NOVA!! Man, where does the time go? It seems like we were just bringing her home from the hospital. This month has been a fun one for us. Emily is turning into her own little person now with a sweet and cheerful personality! Micah and I continue to be more and more grateful everyday that Heavenly Father has blessed us with such a sweet little princess to help us learn to be good parents! She is one amazing 8 month old. Here is a summary of the new things she has learned this month:

~ She has learned how to wave, which is the CUTEST THING EVER, if you want to see for yourself make sure to watch the video clip at the bottom! However, she is very careful when and who she waves for.....you've got to be around at the right time, or you will miss it! She definitely does not just wave when waved to....yet!

~ She has also taken to brushing her gums quite well. Some of you might have seen the previous post of her and Micah brushing their teeth together, but that definitely was not a one time thing. She LOVES to brush with her toothbrush anytime of day or night. Hopefully that is just the beginning of excellent dental hygiene in the future!

~We have also noticed that she seems to babble a lot more than cry these days. Now don't get us wrong, when she is tired and hungry it definitely turns into a full blown cry! Which is funny too because it seems to just turn on like a light switch. She is definitely makes us laugh a lot.

~She is also becoming more ticklish, it is so funny to hear her little belly laugh. Sometimes it is so close to a cry that we have a hard time differentiating the two! We will have to get a video of that soon....although videos are hard to get these days, because as soon as she sees the camera she stops doing whatever she was doing and just smiles! What can I say she loves to have her picture taken!

~She has also started to reach for you more when she wants to be picked up, instead of just laying there and looking at you. Which is really helpful and cute because usually when you pick her up after she reaches out for you she likes to snuggle! She also reaches for objects too when she sees something she wants, she definitely does her best to go after it. We are sure she will be crawling before we know it!

~ Lastly, we just recently started noticing that she is focusing more on trying to pick up smaller objects with her index finger and her thumb! Today at church she was concentrating so hard on trying to get the zipper on Micah's scripture case and when she grabbed she was so proud of herself! You could definitely tell it took a lot of concentration!

Without further ado, here are some pictures we snapped today during her 8 month at-home photo shoot! Hope you enjoy them and don't forget about the video at the bottom!

Our wide-eyed little princess! She loves her bear more and more with each new month!

All laid back and relaxing ~ Just Emily and her bear!

Emily really enjoys her standing up shots ~ even though they are still assisted at this point! I think she feels like such a big girl when we take these pictures!

I love my little girl so much! We have so much fun together and she makes me smile every day! I am so thankful for you little sweet "p"!
Daddy's got the bear in one arm and Emily in the other! He is such a great daddy! We all love him so much!

Our Family Shot for this month! We will definitely try to get outside pictures next month so that the background is not so dark! But we always have fun during these monthly photo shoots!

Finally here is the cute little video of Emily waving to us! She gets so excited once she starts waving that she has a hard time stopping! What a cutie! We are so in love with her!

She is a cutie! You are a good prompter because Clara was waving at the screen when you said to and even said "bye, bye"!
