A Little Trip to Radford College and Beyond!

This past Saturday we got the opportunity to take another Family Road Trip. We have a good friend, Jordan, you just started her freshman year at Radford University and she invited us down for the day to visit and get a personal tour of the campus!! It was about 6 hours of driving (total), but the trip was definitely worth it!

We got to see Jordan's dorm room. And as you can tell Emily made herself comfortable on her nice purple bed!!

During our tour of the campus we got to sit on "Jordan's Bench". This is a spot that she found shortly after coming to Radford and she spends many mornings out here catching up on school and talking and texting! Emily and I also thought "her spot" was quite cozy!! Right in front of us there is also a beautiful water fountain and the leaves are spectacular this time of year too!

After a yummy lunch and one of Jordan's favorite restaurants on campus, Salsaritas, we bundled up and headed to Virginia Tech to watch our first ever Quidditch Game! Jordan's Institute Activities Committee put it together and I will say it was quite entertaining to watch! They had hoops, brooms, a quaffle, and also special appearances from Professor Snape and Madame Hooch!

Another Shot of the Game Action!!

It was such a popular game that they had other students from around campus who wanted to join in the fun too! Needless to say, even though this was the first Quidditch Game I am sure it will not be the last!

This is how Emily enjoyed most of her Quidditch experience.....cuddled up with Jordan trying to stay as toasty as possible!! (Even though Emily looks a little sad in this picture, she did end up "warming up" a bit and enjoyed watching the game eventually!)

An amazing view of Autumn Time on the Virginia Tech Campus!

After we left Radford, we decided to pay a little visit to Grandpa Gray since we were so close already! We always have a nice time when we visit. He had ice cream and cookies waiting for us when we got there. It was nice to catch up on how life is going with everyone! And it was an especially nice for him because Nathan and Sarah and their family had just came to visit the day before!
Here is a cute picture of Emily with her Great Grandpa Gray. You can tell they both enjoyed each other's company!! Love those smiles!

Here's another cute one of Daddy getting some kisses from his little "Sweet P"!

One more shot of the 3 of them together!!
Our day was a lot of fun! Saturdays that are filled with family and friends always make for happy times!! Thanks again Jordan, for giving us this opportunity!!

Apple Harvest Festival at Carter's Mountain!!

As most of you know, life gets busy! At the beginning of September I made plans with my mom that we wouldn't make too many plans for the weekends in October so that we could catch a lot of the festivals that take place around VA! Well, by the time October came I realized that we had made plans for EVERY weekend and none of those plans included a single festival:( That reality made me pretty sad, until I realized that on October 10th our plans were for the mid-afternoon....my sister in law, Tiffany's, baby shower. And since we had to come into town for it, it turned out that we were able to catch the Carter's Mountain Apple Harvest Festival this year! The only setback to my great plan was that it was COLD and RAINY! But we (Mommers, Dooders, Micah, Emily and I) braved the yucky weather to drive up to Carter's Mountain so that I could get some Apple Butter, some Apple Donuts and stand in line for 15 minutes in the drizzly mist to use the lovely Porta-potties that they have out front!! It was definitely a memory made and one that we won't soon forget!

Looking back on it though, I will say it was worth it 100%. We all got to spend some time together, Emily got to attend her first of many Apple Harvest Festivals and we got to spend a nice, but rainy Saturday afternoon together as a family!

Here are a few pictures to document our memories.........

Emily enjoyed sitting High Atop the Pumpkins in the Patch!!

I always love to cuddle with my Girl!

Daddy was having fun too, holding Emily and an Umbrella and all! I sure love my Micah Cordon...he is so supportive!!

Had to get a shot of the "Good Hair Day" that we were having!

Mommers and Dooders with their little Emily Marie!

What's an Apple Harvest Festival if you can't get a Family Photo in front of the Gigantic Pumpkin?

18 Weeks and Growing!

We keep losing track of time, but nonetheless we wanted to take a few photos to capture the moments of this 18th week of our 2nd pregnancy! Things seem to be progressing well. I am feeling good....tired, but good. I am enjoying my maternity clothes, there's nothing like maternity pants! Just this past week I have started feeling the baby move every so often inside of my tummy! What a great feeling that is! So comforting! And once again, brings back all the memories of when I was pregnant with our little Emily, which I am sure every pregnancy will do!
Micah is being such a supportive husband and daddy. He works hard all day at work and when he comes home he is always willing and able to take care of Emily so that I can rest or make dinner without a baby on my hip:) He brings me snacks when I get hungry, even in the night time he will get out of bed if I ask him too! What a sweet husband, I am so blessed to have him as my eternal companion!! He is truly the man that my dreams are made of!
Without further ado here are a few pictures that we took today and a cute little video of Emily showing off her piano skills!!

18 weeks pregnant and starting to show!
Can't miss a photo opportunity with my little princess....especially when she's got such a cute outfit on!! (Thanks to Aunt Jessie, Uncle Tanner and her Cousin Eliza for picking it out for her....it fits perfectly!!)

Here's the video of our little Baby Mozart in the making, getting some tips from her Daddy along the way!

It's Family Dinner Time Once Again!

Friday night we got to go to Mommers' and Dooders' house for the monthly family dinner! And it was a great evening spent together with family, everyone was able to be there except Josh and Ellie and their family and Jay and Stephanie and their girls. We had a yummy dinner of Chili Bean Soup and Corn Bread and we got to play with the little girls a lot and watch them play with each other which was even more fun! And we all got to "ooh and ahh" over little Colton and of course, get in some snuggle time too!

I love the family dinners because it gives us all time to catch up on every one's lives and we get a chance to talk, which is something I personally don't get to do nearly enough with my brothers and sisters and their spouses!! And I am so grateful that Emily gets to be a part of these family dinners too, because hopefully they will help her have good memories in the future of being able to spend time with her family and bonding!

Without further ado, here are some cute pictures of our evening together at Mommers' and Dooders'......

Emily and Eliza thoroughly enjoyed the new toy that Mommers recently bought for them! They both loved trying to stand up and play at the same time!

They even enjoyed a few moments trying to sit on each other's lap!!

Then there were the other toys that they liked to take turns figuring out!!
Eliza: "Hey, I need to tell you a secret."
Emily: "Go ahead, I'm listening."

Little girls are always interested in the camera!

Emily thinks her Uncle Jacob is SO FUNNY!

She just can't quite figure him out. But she is TRYING!
Here's Emily sportin' Eliza's new cowboy boots!

Mommers and Dooders were trying to get individual family shots of everyone, so here's ours!

All of us girls(Jessie, Me, Tiffany and Danielle) posing for a photo together!

Here we are again with all of our babies in tow (including Gracie Kaye and Baby Gray #2)

Our attempt at letting the 3 babies get to know each other! Colton is definitely getting broken in well!

Eliza is more interested in her Mommy and Emily is more interested in the toy to her right, but at the same time she was making sure that her little Colton was being protected!!

Gotta pat the head, before Mommy takes him away!!

We had a great time and we are already looking forward to next month!!! Especially because by then we will know whether Emily will be getting a little brother or a little sister....Stay Tuned!!
