Micah Won an IPAD!!

Yep, you read it right! Micah Cordon won an IPAD!! How did it happen you might wonder??
It all started when we went to the home show last weekend for a family activity. Micah entered the competition as we came into the arena. You had to guess how many corks were stuffed inside this mini cooper that was on display. So Micah (along with probably every other person that came to the Home Show) put a guess in the box, not thinking anymore about it.

Then on Tuesday afternoon I got a call just as I was putting Emily down for her nap from Carpet Plus. I couldn't get to the phone so they called back. They were looking for Micah...and at first I was a little worried that he had ordered some new carpet, but then the guy asked for his work number and then I inquired why he needed it. Then he proceeded to tell me that Micah had won the IPAD that they were giving away at the home show! Then I got so excited for Micah that I couldn't even think of his work number. But luckily I was able to calm back down and it came to me again:)

The rest of the story is history. Micah got the call, we set up a time to go by the store to pick it up and now we are having fun learning how to use this new toy! As a matter of fact, right now as I am writing this Micah is sitting on the couch with Haley and they are playing with it!

Here are a few pictures that we took (since you know we love to document things) of Micah's IPAD adventure!
Micah receiving his prize at Carpet Plus from the manager, Dwayne. They were both happy to have their picture taken with the ever popular IPAD!
Here's a shot that I took earlier tonight of Micah trying to teach Haley how to use the IPAD, we thought it would be a fun activity for her since she wasn't too excited about sleeping yet!

We continue to be very grateful for all of the blessings that Heavenly Father continues to pour out upon our family. Speaking of blessings, tomorrow is also going to be another very special day for our little family. Haley Elizabeth will be able to be blessed at church by her Daddy. We are so grateful for all of the blessings that we receive and the happiness and joy that we are able to enjoy in our life!

Pony Tails and Hats!

That is the stage that we have entered here at the Gray Household! I just realized yesterday that Emily's hair was FINALLY long enough for me to put into ponytails and so I gave it a try and it only took a little bit of distraction and she was set! She kept them in all day long! I just think she looks ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE with them:) I know, I am the mommy and that makes me a little biased, but still:)
She is at such a fun age right now. She is starting to express herself more, sometimes for the good and sometimes not so much. She LOVES to dance and sometimes she even dances to the music in her head! I LOVE that about her! I love to dance when no one is watching and so does she, although she doesn't mind dancing when people are watching either! She is such a little "ham!".

Enjoying some Raisins!

Wonder What is Going Through Her cute little head?

Mommy's Favorite Shot!! What an Adorable Little Pony Tail Princess!

Last night when the ponytails came down!

Back Side View...She's got hair like her Mommy:)

Haley is just starting to be able to wear a few more hats! Emily's head was quite a bit larger than Haley's when she was this age, therefore all of Emily's hats are still too big for Haley. But sometimes we find one that will work. And surprisingly when we put this sun hat on her head last night, she didn't object to it! I LOVE her expressions!

She is fighting it, but I don't know how long that will last. Sleep is pretty powerful sometimes!

And She's Out....Once Again! Hat, clenched fists and all! I love this little "Honey Bee"!

Our Fun Little Daughters!!

This past Thursday was my birthday, it was a great day that Emily and Haley and I got to spend with my mom! She treated us well and I am sure that the girls...well at least Emily....thinks that she just has another birthday instead of me! I guess that is what Grandma's are good at though....spoiling those little ones!!

Then as one of my birthday gifts, Micah took Friday off work to spend with us. We had a fun day. Went to the Home Show...and actually we just found out that he won the IPAD that they were giving away! We are excited and are going to pick it up tonight. Then we took a walk at Belvedere....the future Homeland of the Grays!!

On Saturday we did some chores in the morning and then in the late afternoon we decided to make our first Bonfire outside! And it was SO worth it! Emily had such a blast and she even got to have her first S'More....minus the chocolate! And I must say, she was DEFINITELY a fan! And she also discovered our neighbors back yard and their "lawn people". She couldn't stop going over and kissing each one! It was such a precious evening that we were able to spend outside together as a family! One that we will definitely remember for a long time, full of laughs and tons of fun!!

Here are some photos of our adventures....
Our Little "Honey B" getting in some Tummy Time on Mommy and Daddy's Bed!
Emily with Daddy thoroughly enjoying her first S'More!!

So good, can't just have one Bite!!

Emily takes her food very seriously....especially the sweet stuff! Love those baby blues!!

Snack time is over, now it's time to make some new friends!

She had to make sure even the smallest "yard people" got some love!

What a Cutie!!

Back to her Favorite Little Boy!

Haley was even awake for some of the fun! Here she is holding on to Daddy's shovel!!

Taking her important job VERY SERIOUSLY!!
We are so excited that Spring is Finally Here and that we can get out and enjoy this beautiful weather as a family! Fresh Air does EVERYBODY good!

Our Little "Honey B" is ONE Month OLD!

Well, it's been One Whole Month since our little Haley Elizabeth joined our family and what a month it has been....she is actually 5 weeks old Today! She is such a joy and she has a great disposition! And the best part, is that she LOVES the attention that her big sister loves to give her!

Micah and I were talking the other night about any major milestones that Haley has reached in her first month of life and we couldn't really think of any major milestones, but her favorite things to do are Eat and Sleep and she does very well with both of those. And we think she is starting to turn her days and nights back around, which is great too! Soon she will be sleeping at night like a champ:)

We haven't been to her one month doctor's visit yet, because we combined her one month and Emily's 15 month, so we will go next week for both visits!! And we will definitely update the growth of both girls! Although we feel like Haley is definitely doing well with her growth. At her four day appointment she weighed 7 lbs 1 oz. and at her one week visit she weighed 7 lbs. 10.5 oz. So she was definitely growing like a little weed then, and I don't think it has slowed down:)

We sure love our girls, and even though it is a lot of work to care for these two little ones, we absolutely Love them both so much and we are so glad to have Haley in our family now. Just one little grin from Haley or one little wink from Emily and we fall in love with them even more than we ever imagined we could! Haley adds her own special spice to our little foursome and that is one of the many things we love about her!

Here is Haley with her Pink Bear!! They will become close friends over the next year as they have their monthly photos taken together! You can see Haley is super excited about it already!!
I love her little one eyed stare!! And the way she crosses her legs makes me happy!

Getting Ready for another nap, this photo shoot is making her sleepy!

We wanted to get a few shots of the two of them together, but Emily wasn't a huge fan of laying down on the blanket! As you can see Haley was totally content with "chillin'"!

Emily LOVES holding her little sister! And I love how excited she gets! She can tell it's an important job already:)

Emily Loves Getting Kisses, I think almost as much as Haley loves Getting them! They are a perfect match!

Me and my Girls on our front porch! Emily was getting ansty and Haley was contemplative!

Our Girls In a Basket!

I came to check on Emily yesterday after feeding Haley and when I got to the play room she was sitting inside one of the wicker baskets just cheesin' away! She was so cute I had to run and get my camera:) When I got back though, as usually happens, she was out of the basket, so I just Haley in for a quick photo and then she wanted to crawl back in....that usually works! So we had fun with a couple of pictures and Emily really enjoyed just playing in the basket. After I finished taking a few photos I bet she played in the basket with her toys for about 30 minutes! She was just too cute! I love being a mommy to these 2 precious princesses that Heavenly Father sent to our family!

Haley found the basket to be just her size, and VERY comfy!
Emily was excited to figure out that she could fit into the basket too!

Doing a little leg stretching!!

What a little cheeser we have!

She got so excited when I put Haley in her lap! She is such a great helper!! These two girls melt my heart!

Emily thinks Haley is so funny when she flails her arms and has difficulty when her fingers and mouth are trying to make contact!

Haley starts to cry and Emily is not quite sure what to do about it!

My Favorite Shot!

Our Cute Little Haley Elizabeth...

...has officially become a Thumb Sucker (just like her big sister!). It has been pretty cute to watch Haley discover her hand, then her fingers and lastly her thumb! She still is pretty new at it, and misses quite often and end up just sucking on the end of her hand until she realizes she is not really latched on to anything and then she starts to wail!

She is FOUR WEEKS OLD today! And she still loves to eat, cry and sleep (mostly during the day, but we are working on getting her little schedule turned around).

Haley also really enjoys being propped up on the boppy so that she can see what is going on around her! She has such a sweet personality! She loves to look around and she has started to smile when she sees something familiar....usually Mommy, Daddy or her Big Sister, whom she LOVES!!!

As I mentioned earlier, Haley LOVES to sleep. And one of her favorite places to snooze is in her car seat. She is such a funny girl! Her head is a bit smaller than Emily's was at this age, so most of Emily's hats are still too big. At least Haley is good at improvising! This is one of her preferred methods of sleeping...with her hat over her eyes! You would think that would get annoying to her after a while, but no....she takes after Mommy I guess, I can't go to sleep without an " eye pillow" either!

Easter As a Family of Four!

We had a very nice Easter weekend! It was full of fun, family and love! It was wonderful to be able to spend it with both of our sweet girls and to reflect on the wonderful blessings they are in our lives. And another one of my favorite things about Easter is that it gives me a little bit of extra time to stop and reflect on our Savior, Jesus Christ, and all that He did to make it possible for my family and I to be able to be together....not just in this life but for Eternity! I am grateful to have had time to reflect on the Resurrection of Christ. It makes me happy and brings me great hope for the future, not just for my future, but for the future of my family and all of those who surround me. And knowing that one day I too, will be resurrected and have a perfect body once again is a very comforting thought. And I am grateful to have been able to focus on that peace this year particularly as we are in the midst of life with a newborn and trying to sell our home while our new home is being built. It is a stressful time for us, but I am grateful for the tender mercies of the Lord that he showers down upon us when we least expect them. And I am grateful that amidst all that our Father in Heaven and Our Savior Jesus Christ have to keep up with that they are able to reach down and help out me and my family and keep their eyes on us and their arms wrapped around us!

Since we were a little preoccupied this year, we didn't snap too many Easter pictures, but we did get a few family shots, which was nice! However, I still can't figure out how to fix the picture at the top of the blog....but at least this time our WHOLE family is in the photo!

We decided to head to the front yard, before leaving for General Conference on Sunday, to take a few family photos! Especially since the girls looked so adorable in their matching dresses that Mommers got for them!

Micah and I both decided that Emily was DEFINITELY the most excited one about this picture!

In between sessions of Conference, we headed to Mema's for an Easter lunch and Emily got to spend some time with Mommers, Mema and some of her Great Aunts and Uncles!

We decided to take a few more photos before heading out!

As you can tell by the looks by the look on Haley's face and Emily sucking her thumb that picture time was definitely OVER for the day!
