Happy 2nd Birthday Haley Boo!

We LOVE to celebrate in our family! We love birthdays, anniversaries (we like to celebrate ours monthly, even if it only involves a little reminiscing each month), potty training successes, etc!! And last Friday, March 9th, we had the privilege and opportunity to celebrate our little Haley's 2nd Birthday!! And it was such a fun day to celebrate! The weather was really nice and double bonus, Daddy had the day off!!

We started the day by going to IHOP for breakfast, even though at the last minute the birthday girl decided she really only wanted cereal for breakfast! So, what do you do when that happens?? Well normally you just don't go out, but since Mimmi and Dooders had already planned to meet us we packed up the gang (and a baggie of cereal for the birthday girl) and headed out! And all in all she was happy that we went! After she finished her cereal she wanted a "face pancake" so she got one of those too! And even though she had a small little tummy she ended up eating half of it in addition to her cereal!

When we got home the girls played outside with Daddy while I came in and fed Ethan and worked on some party stuff! That evening we had quite a few family members and friends over at our house for Haley's 2nd Birthday Celebration! We had a lot of fun, it was super crazy and busy, but really a lot of fun! And honestly, just seeing the joy on Haley and Emily's faces makes it all worth it! She got to enjoy some baked Ziti and bread for dinner and a butterfly cupcake for dessert! She got to play a game of "Pin the Cherry on the Cupcake" and then she got to do a little art and top it all off by opening a lot of FUN gifts from all in attendance! It was a great night for Haley! And at the end of her day she went to bed a very happy little girl! So happy in fact that she is still having a hard time relinquishing her reign as Birthday Girl when it comes to sharing and getting things her way:) But that is normal and something that I am sure we will be working on throughout her journey as a 2 year old:)

We sure love our little Haley and are so glad she came to our family when she did 2 years ago! Her and Emily are the best of Friends and she is a GREAT big sister for Ethan too!! We are so grateful to our Heavenly Father for his timing! Just when we thought there may be no children in our family and then within 3 years we have been blessed with 3 little miracles!! All different and with different personalities!! What a Blessing it is to have this opportunity to celebrate, remember and be grateful!! Happy Birthday Haley Boo, we sure love you!!!

Ethan's FIRST Night in his Own Room!

Tonight was a monumental night at our house! One that we look to with great anticipation and some trepidation from the time one of our children is born to the moment we decide to MOVE THEM TO THEIR OWN ROOM! Ethan was actually the oldest of all of our children to have made the move! He is Almost 8 weeks old....Emily moved at 3 weeks, Haley was about a week and a half and then came Ethan! We were going to move him last weekend, but he came down with a little cold and we wanted to have him closer:)
But last night was the moment that Micah and I decided on and we were nervous at first at how things would go. Would he miss us? Would he be comfortable? Would he be scared? Would he wake up more often than usual? And the answer to all of these questions was a resounding No! Ethan was a champ.....he needed to burp once and to be comforted once before he finally fell asleep and then he slept normally the rest of the night waking up once to eat and then waking up around 6:15am ready to roll! (Which Mom and Dad would have liked him to postpone for about 15 minutes since our actual alarm clock goes off at 6:30:) But overall a great first night!!
Here's to Many More Cozy nights in your crib!!! We love you Little Bro!

Ethan's Crib all ready for him!

Taking a look around!

Right now he looks so tiny and the crib looks so big!

"Are you really going to leave me in here?"

"Ha! Not sure about all of this, but I think it may not be too bad!"

My Life!

One night last week, after a particular busy day (in so many ways) Micah snapped this picture of me and the kiddos!! And when I looked at it, I truly feel like this is my life!! Life is Tough, Life is Fun, Life is Crazy, Life is Full of Suprises, but like is Oh So Good to Me!

Sporting the Cute Clothes!!

I almost forgot that I had uploaded these photos, but one day last week AFTER I got all of the kiddos dressed for the day, I happened to noticed that they all had shirts on that said something either about Mommy or Daddy! I thought that was pretty cute and something that wouldn't happen every day....then I did something else that also wouldn't happen every day....I attempted a photo shoot with all 3 of them by myself:) Oh and believe me throughout that whole experience, which somehow probably lasted about 20 minutes, I got some super funny pictures (which I guess is to be expected with three kiddos three years old and under)! It was good times for me and definitely something I wanted to have recorded for years to come!! Life is good, and so are these photos!!! Enjoy!!

Our Little Ethan Micah at 7 weeks old!

Big Sister, Emily, always trying to make him feel better when he is sad:)

Ethan's First Snow!!

Last Sunday, February 19, 2012, was a special day not just because it was Ethan's Blessing Day but also because just a few short hours after getting out of church (actually not long after Nathan and Sarah and the gang headed back home) it started snowing!! That's right, Ethan got to experience snow for the very first time! Well, at least as much as a little 5 1/2 week old baby can:) We all watched the snow come down from the windows for a little while, then we decided to all bundle up and head out into the winter wonderland:)
Ethan only lasted a few minutes out on the porch with us, but the girls had a BLAST with Daddy once Ethan and I headed back in! I am sure glad they got the chance to play when they did, because this was one of those quick snows.....came fast, was really beautiful but totally gone in less than 24 hours! Timing is everything! We were able to have Ethan's blessing, enjoy some beautiful snow and still hang out with Mimmi and do a little shopping on Monday!

Daddy and his little man!
