Emily was officially 5 months old on Friday May 29th, but we are a little behind with our blog and our picture taking these days:) So, thankfully we had our good friend, Anna, over for dinner on Sunday and after dinner she agreed to go out and take some family photos for us!!
As far as new skills Emily has learned this month:
~ She rolled over for the first time (and only time so far) on Memorial Day!
~ She is really starting to babble A LOT more these days! Micah and I just love her little voice!
~ She is falling in LOVE with her toes! She loves to put them in her mouth (along with everything else that passes by) but she stops the moment I pull out the camera:)
~ She is turning into a people person! She loves to be the center of attention, and she loves to grin at people (wherever we go) that come up and talk to her!!
~ She started eating baby food and rice cereal last month, May 9th. The foods she has tried and liked so far are carrots, green beans, squash, applesauce, pears....boy does she LOVE pears....and bananas! She has also gotten to use her little mesh holder a few times and enjoys eating watermelon and oranges using that!
~ The only food she really does not care for, that she has tried, is sweet peas. (Which is pretty funny to us - we thought she would love those, plus "sweet p" is her little nickname), but alas there will probably be no cute posts of our little "sweet p" devouring sweet peas:(
~ She is also getting better at supporting her own weight on her legs. She loves to pull her self up as she holds onto our hands, and as soon as we sit her back down she wants to bounce right back up!!
Emily continues to bless our lives each day with her sweet spirit and cute personality. We think she is simply adorable and fall more and more in love with her every day. We are grateful for this opportunity and blessing that we have to be her parents and to be able to learn and grow together as a family of three!!

Happy FIVE MONTHS, Emily!!! She is already quite the accomplished little girl. Before you know it, you'll be lighting the candle on her first birthday cake!
