Our Little Sweet "P" Just Turned 7 Months old!

I can't believe it is time once again to sit down and do another monthly post for Emily! She is such an amazing little baby! She is full of laughs and smiles, and it seems like she always has a new trick up her sleeve!

Here's what's new with her this month:

~ She has definitely become a PRO at sitting up on her own! (And her ab muscles are getting super strong too, as she fights to sit up every time we lay her down)

~ She has rolled from her back to her front 3 times now, while she has been in her crib! This is HUGE, because up until now she has absolutely DESPISED being on her tummy for any length of time. But now, I go in to get her and she is just laying there on tummy smiling at me....it is the CUTEST thing!

~ She also has so many cute expressions now. I especially love her "serious looks". They absolutely crack me up, there is no way I can be serious when I look at her face like that! She is such a funny little girl!

~ Emily has also just started to learn how to give people five! Dooders has been working on counting (to five) with her since she was born and at the end he always holds out his hand, but just recently she has started to respond! (See the video at the end of the post)

~ Emily is not the most ticklish baby in the world, YET, but one place we have just learned about that really gets her going is right under her chin!

~ Now when Emily is having tummy time she is starting to raise up on her hands more, almost like a little seal (or if you are familiar with yoga, it's almost like she is doing a "downward dog")

~ Emily has been eating baby food at dinner for about 3 months now, but she has just recently increased her diet to not one jar, but 2 jars of baby food at dinner time (we usually try to do one jar of veggies and one jar of fruit along with some baby cereal).

~ And lastly, Emily had her first taste of PRUNE JUICE this past month. She was pretty constipated and hadn't gone to the bathroom in about 4 days....which is really unusual for her. Someone suggested we try prune juice so we did. We gave her 3 small doses over 3 days and lets just say.........that cleared things up and out!! And our little princess has been "regular" ever since then!

Emily's 7th month has been full of adventures, fun and excitement and we are looking forward to month number 8! We love her so much and are so grateful that she is a part of our family! She makes us laugh and brings a smile to our hearts every day!

Here are some of the pictures from our 7 month photo shoot.........

Emily: "Okay, go ahead, I'm listening."

Emily: "That was a GREAT idea!"

Emily chillin' with Bear in the papasan!
All ready to show off some of her ballet moves!

We decided we are also going to start to take pictures by Emily's dresser, so that we can track her height. Here's our first attempt!

You've gotta love those cute little legs!
Can't have a photo shoot without a picture of Daddy with his little Princess!
I'll take a picture with Emily whenever I get the chance! Can't pass up an opportunity like that! Although you can see in her face she was READY for this photo shoot to be over!

Our 7 Month Family Shot!

Here's the little video we took of Emily giving Mommy 5! Hope you enjoy it!
