This past Saturday, November 19, 2011 we made an extra special trip up to Northern Virginia. We went to watch our sweet little niece, Hannah, who just turned eight, be baptized by her Daddy, Nathan!
As usual we were running several minutes late, but thankfully we were able to make it there just after the opening song and prayer just in time to hear Mummis give a talk on baptism and some of our nieces and nephews sing a sweet primary song!! The spirit was so strong at that baptism and I loved looking at Hannah throughout the whole baptism and just seeing her beaming! She is an amazing little girl and I am so thankful that she is in our family and for the amazing example that she is setting for not only her brother and sisters and friends but for our children as well! I know Emily and Haley really look up to her and that makes my heart happy!
After the baptism we got to go and play and visit at Nathan and Sarah's house for a little while and then we headed over to our friend Raman's house! We were so excited to get to visit with him and his sweet mom!!! It has been way to long since we have gotten the chance to do that! Emily and Raman definitely became fast friends, Haley on the other hand fell in love with his stuffed tiger but she was a little more reserved about Raman. But by the end of our visit she was starting to warm up a little bit!!
Lastly, we were so happy to get to squeeze in a visit with some of our dearest friends, the Murchisons! We always have such a fun time visiting and catching up with them! Micah has known them forever it seems like and I have known them as long as I have known Micah and they seem just like our family!! And Emily and Haley think they are the best!! They LOVE going to their house to see what Norma has set out for them to play with:) It is really sweet to watch our girls interact with them and see their relationship blossoming just as ours has!!
We packed a lot in to one Saturday, but it was worth every second of the crazy drive up there!! We are so blessed to be surrounded by so many wonderful people who love us and our children unconditionally!!
