Time for the Greene County Fair!

We decided to head out to the Greene County Fair yesterday, shortly after Micah got home from work! We packed some Peanut Butter sandwiches and off we went! We picked probably the perfect night (weather wise) of the week to go! We were so happy about that:) We just got a little rain shower just before we headed out the door and that must have cooled everything down and we were much appreciative!
When we got there we put the girls in the double stroller and took off! We all enjoyed ourselves!! We got to see all of the animals! Emily also wanted to get a close up of the rides that they had! And then we went over and let Daddy sit in the newest camaro model!! He really enjoyed that:) And then we ended our night with some "deep fried oreos"! A friend at Micah's work recommended that we try some!! And I was so glad we listened!! Even though the name sounds disgusting....they were SO YUMMY! I know prefer those to a funnel cake....they taste just the same only its chocolate flavored and that makes ALL THE DIFFERENCE!!
Overall we had a great night together as a family at the fair and were even lucky enough to snap a few good pictures too!!

Haley is FIVE Months Old Now!! Where is the Time Going?

Our Sweet Little Haley Boo turned the ripe old age of FIVE MONTHS on Monday!! I really have a hard time believing it! It seems like just yesterday we met and yet it seems like she has been such a vital part of our family for a long time! She is one amazing little girl! I LOVE how she always has a smile for whomever she sees! I love the way she giggles or laughs out loud when I tickle her under or chin or her thighs:) I love how she follows my finger when I move it around in the air! I love how when she wakes up in the morning she has discovered her vocal cords and coos and "talks" in all different ranges! And most of all I love how she loves!! She is one of the most loving babies I have ever met!! And at this stage in her life she is a Mommy's girl!! I love how she will turn her neck almost completely around when she hears my voice in a room! It makes my heart happy and I love that! Well, that is our Haley Boo and here are a few of the skills she has picked up this month:

~She will actually hold on to a toy now and entertain herself with it!
~She hums herself to sleep each night!
~She is learning how to sit up more and more (I think by next month she will be sitting by herself!)
~She has been trying baby food and rice cereal. And so far she LIKES: Sweet Potatoes and DISLIKES: peas, carrots, and bananas!
~She took her first bath with her big sister this month and absolutely LOVED it!!
~Her and Emily have become such fun little friends and Micah and I have loved watching it!!

I think that about sums up Haley's FIFTH MONTH! And this month we had one of our good friend's, Anna Quillon, over for dinner and she volunteered to take the pics for Haley's 5 Month Photo Shoot~ And we are so grateful to Anna for doing that for us! Not only was it fun to visit with her, but she is an AMAZING photographer and we LOVE the pictures too!

Mommy's Little Helper!

I know that right now I should be taking advantage of the fact that both of my girls are sleeping and be packing (but I can't since Micah has all of the boxes in his car) or folding laundry or hanging up clothes to dry.....BUT I just wanted to take a minute to share some of these precious pictures of my big girl! She is such a great helper these days....she loves to sweep, empty the dishwasher, help me cook and her latest interest is drawing on all of our moving boxes!! She also LOVES to play with her little sister now too! And Haley doesn't quite mind it either:)

Micah and I were trying to decide if she will be right handed or left handed, but right now we can't tell...she seems to be ambedexrous at this point! As long as she can hold a pen, pencil, crayon or a marker and draw on paper or a box she is HAPPY!

Thinking about how to "label" this one!

Now she's Got it!

Our Yard Has Been Landscaped Now!!

When Micah and I (and the kids) stopped by the house quickly on Thursday we noticed that we had landscaping!! We were so excited, because we know that is one of the final tasks! However, we were just coming by to check on our rain barrel quickly and didn't bring our camera and since we didn't visit on Saturday and forgot our camera in the rush to get out the door on Sunday, yesterday was the first time we were able to snap a picture!!
We really like the way our yard looks, we are just hoping that the workers are able to keep everything alive until we move in NEXT WEEKEND! But if not, we have been assured that they will take care of it and plant more!
I still need to check with them on the tree and make sure it is not one that over time gets BIG because it would be way to close to our house if that were the case. Other than that we have Azaleas, Inkberry, and Ilex Steed Holly Bushes!
But anyway, it is hard for us to believe that we will be living in that house and get to make it our home in 12 Days!

Squeaky Clean and Happy!

Last week both of the girls needed a bath one night and we were tired and it was almost bed time, so we decided to put them in the tub together and THEY LOVED IT! We put Haley in in her bumbo seat, because she still can't sit up all by herself yet, and Emily was Happy as a Lark to have a bath buddy!! They laughed, splashed, squealed and played together!! I still haven't mastered 2 girls in the tub by myself, so they have both switched to evening baths for now, but they sure enjoy each others company. And Micah and I enjoy watching them interact with one another. They have really started to play and talk together and it is super fun to be a part of. Even though they are still so young, it is amazing to me how much they look out for one another! They are the cutest little sisters and we are glad that Heavenly Father sent them both to our family to be our daughters. They are amazing and we can't get enough of them!!

Happy Haley in the Tub!

Time to Wash Haley's Hair!

Emily LOVED piling the soap bubbles on Haley's head and as long as Haley kept a close eye on her she was fine with it!

Appliances, Chair and Crown Molding, Hardwood Floors!

When we visited our house yesterday we saw that once again that they have accomplished a great deal! I have come to realize that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE our new kitchen. There are so many cabinets and it is so bright and open. I love the fact that the kids can be playing anywhere downstairs and I will be able to keep an eye on them while I am preparing meals! And I know that they will like it too, because they won't have to be confined to the kitchen while I am preparing meals:)
They have also been hard at work on installing our hard wood floors. (We weren't able to get a good picture before they put the protective paper over the top, but we will when it is all finished). And they have also finished putting up the crown molding in our dining room and breakfast area. Once they do the final painting it will look really nice!! Things are really shaping up nicely. It's hard to believe that we will be closing and moving in in about 2 1/2 weeks!!
Here we are by our new electric stove!!

A Quick Visit at Shenandoah Crossings and Haley's FIRST Swim!

About a week and a half ago one of my sisters in law and my niece and nephew were down at Shenandoah Crossings Resort for a few days. They invited us down for a swim and since Micah was off last Monday we decided to head down for the afternoon. Mommers and Dooders met us there! It was a nice evening. The water was really warm and so we were able to enjoy some fun time in the pool!
It was Haley's first time in the pool. She thought it was really fun she was smiling and laughing the whole time...the whole time until the end! Then she was READY to get OUT and she wasn't afraid to let everyone know it! But thanks to Ellie, who was quick to take her out and get her dressed and warmed up for us, we got to enjoy the pool just a little longer!
As Micah and I were talking on our way home that night we realized that our girls had totally different experiences in the pool. Haley enjoyed the pool a lot more at the beginning and Emily enjoyed her pool time much more near the end after she had some time to get used to it! Both of the girls enjoyed the little kick pads and Emily thought she was awesome when we wrapped a "pool noodle" around her and pulled her around the pool!!
Thanks Ellie for the invite down and I am so glad that Micah was off, so that we could enjoy this fun Monday evening together with family as a family!
