FALL is my favorite season of the year!! I love the crisp cool mornings and the chill of the evenings! I love sitting out on our porch and drinking Hot Chocolate with Micah after the kids have gone to bed. I love hay rides, and orchards and specifically in the fall I LOVE picking apples!! And I am so happy to be able to share that love with my husband and our kiddos as well! We all look forward to apple picking and all of the fun and adventures that it brings!
We went as a Family on Monday evening. It was a really quick trip, however, since the orchard closed at 6pm and we arrived at 5:15pm. They wanted to stop picking at 5, but since we had just arrived they let us go pick quickly!! So quickly we went. As quickly as you can go with 3 kiddos and a stroller, but at least we didn't take our sit-n-stand with us:)
The girls LOVED picking and eating on the spot, we even had Dooders bring a bottle of water along so that we could wash the apples before we ate them!! Too bad they have to douse everything in poison first these days:(
Ethan quickly caught on to what was happening and he loved the adventure, especially when Dooders was in charge of pushing his stroller back up the hill over the rocks and to the van, it was quite a bumpy ride, but Ethan didn't make a peep! Either he LOVED it or he was scared for his life, who knows?:)
We picked a few pounds, of course it didn't take too long because these apples were HUGE!!! But everyone left happy and excited about coming back one day, hopefully soon, and that is what is important!!! Happy Fall Everyone!!
